So after learning what I wanted to be when I grew up, I spent the next 25 years having that dream bashed out of me by my schooling, community and societal expectations.  It appeared my socio economic middle class background, outback country up-bringing and private schooling, led me to believe that I wasn't creative, shouldn't be creative and that I would make a great accountant...

In a desperate act to find myself, I spent these years working as a builders labourer, tyre fitter, drillers offsider, cleaner, barmen; farmhand, stockman, surveyors assistant; complete a business degree, be a stock firm finance officer, bank manager, golf caddie; train unemployed youth, supervise handicapped workers, be a gardener, real-estate salesman, tree planter, nurseryman; a builders labourer (again), business adviser, musician, drive a milk truck and complete an Associate Diploma in Design…then, while renovating our second home, I finally understood what that kid loved, and what he wanted to do… 

 

I now I operate my own small business Designing, 3D Modelling, Drafting and Building projects in the construction and design industries…and have been doing it for 26 years.
